h.m. Peavy
Hello...Friends call me Martin or Marty. I grew up in the Midwest, lived in Hawaii for nearly 40 years, and currently make my home in Southern California. I love creating artworks, home renovations, cycling, organic gardening, collecting vintage art and craft, and upcycling. I own Re-psychles Vintage Shop and Art Gallery... with a work studio in the back of the shop.
I created the original 
*Apple Pencil
Apple Lamp
and other products made from twigs, including clothing naturally dyed using Apple Juice 
a byproduct in the production of the Apple Pencil. The Prayer = T-shirt 
was designed to encourage racial equality and unity. The 
Black Face Project T-shirts feature American Black women and men who have made significant contributions to humanity.
I am also working on a line of clothing for women and men, 
home furnishings, 
and other products made from vintage textiles that involve stitching, printing, and hand-dyeing. Additionally, I am working on a series of limited edition lithographs based on images and themes I often revisit in my work.
I also design and weave rugs and tapestries, 
and build construction and assemblage 
artworks.

Apple Pencil is the brand name for my handmade wood pencils made from apple tree twigs since January 2015. The domain names applepencil.com and applepencils.com have been owned by h.m. Peavy since June 2015, before Apple Inc. introduced its digital stylus to the U.S. market in September 2015.
The wood pencils and domain names are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or authorized by Apple Inc. Apple Pencil® is a registered trademark of Apple Inc. for its digital electronic stylus. Apple Inc. does not make pencils made from apple tree twigs. I make handcrafted pencils from real apple tree wood. I do not make or sell digital styluses or other electronic products.
