Piece of brass repoussé art depicting a stylized face, likely in an Art Deco style, mounted within a wooden frame/panel. This balinese metalworking technique involves shaping a malleable metal, in this case, copper, by hammering or pushing it from the reverse side to create a raised design in low relief on the front. Measurements are on pictures. The stylized depiction of the face, with its geometric lines and simplified forms, is characteristic of the Art Deco movement, a style of visual arts and design popular in the 1920s and 1930s.
