Peruvian Silver Keepsake Box

The design of this singular piece depicts the face of an ancient Peruvian deity of Inca origin. This beautiful round face of this kneeling figure represents “Inti “, the supreme Inca Sun God, often identified by a large, semi-circular headdress. With its blue-eyed ornament of inlaid lapis stones, it often appears in Incan art and iconography.  High quality in .925 Silver for this important character, flying over the Ocean waves with a crescent moon.  

The creation of this unique box is attributed to the renowned Peruvian silversmith Graziella Laffi. 

 Working throughout the mid-20th century, Laffi became famous for incorporating Peruvian history, wildlife, and pre-Columbian influences into her silver creations.
