When I was a child visiting my grandparents in Guadalajara, back then early 60's, I use to spent time looking all the German and french figurines, as well as the japanese porcelain miniatures inside this cabinets, they always told me that his friend, Jaime Oates, director of the Taxco Guerrero Art School, was the one who had designed these display boxes for the world wide famous Borda jewelry store in Taxco. The design was known as Naves de Santa Prisca for evoking the arches of the Taxco's Cathedral church. You can't find this exceptional hand made artisanal boxes any where any more. Exceptional mint conditions for more than 60 years old. All sides are glass, only the back is interior mirror, exterior, black velvet in the back and rings for hang them for the hanging option, look exceptional in table or mantle showing all your small treasures.
